Challenges facing Community Colleges to compete in non-credit programs.

The NCCET - National Council for Continuing Education and Training and the AACC - American Association of Community Colleges recently released a report entitled, "More Than A Matter of Degree - credential, Certification and Community Colleges". This excellent white paper discusses the widening gap between Community Colleges focus on credit education and the local community's demand for non-credit education. It also explores why private adult career schools own this market segment and what changes need to be made at the local community college to change this trend. Many schools use Gatlin Education's online career certificate programs to close this widening gap in their local community.
